We utilize MDF here for cabinetry, kiosks, displays, signs, mold making, forms, jigs, templates and probably a hundred other fabrication milling tasks. MDF is a common panel material which mills nicely on the CNC Router. CNC Machining MDF works well for flat sheet stock and more complex contouring for decorative panels or architectural topography maps. Most often milled with digital milling equipment but with a basic electric router for edge round overs. A high-Z CNC can be used when laminating multiple layers of MDF for make larger panels or parts. Industries such as advertising rely on MDF or MDF Composites with a finish outer layer for displays and signage where a 3D effect is desired. Tricoya MDF is very durable and moisture resistant which makes for a wood alternative in outdoor use. Audio hobbyist will use MDF for speaker cabinet enclosures.
