Wooden Electric Bike Prototyping Stages : Prototype Version 5

A visual overview of the many steps involved in prototyping version 5.xx of a handmade wooden bicycle. Here we are making one manual bike and three more electric wooden bicycles. This production run should yield four wooden sapelli bikes from one sheet of one inch thick custom produced plywood. Frames are Sapele ply, seat stay is Sapele ply, solid Sapelli chain stays and for the dropouts we custom CNC mill out of a sheet of 3/8 aluminum. Making Bikes in this bespoke fashion is fairly precise with accuracy and attention to details paramount. This project utilized Industrial Design, Digital Fabrication and Traditional Fabrication skills along with a bit of good old fashion Woodworking.
