This custom DIY end mill caddy or router bit caddy. End mills are similar to router bits and are used milling materials with our CNC equipment. This project was created in paint grade plywood. Except the bottom panel is a piece of floor underlayment. Most of our CNC end mill collection uses three common shaft sizes, 0.125", 0.25", 0.375" and 0.5". We have shelving tiers for each of these four main bit shaft diameters. We ended up post re-boring some of the holes which is why you only see three sizes in these pictures. Lack of forethought on our part. It would be very easy to make the same unit with a verity of end mill shaft holes for those who utilize more variance in their mills. The first tier shelf was bored out for our most commonly used collets. The rectangle unit only shown in CNC milling stage butts up to either the left or right side to extend the corner storage unit. I will try to get a picture of that in place soon.
