Here are some 3D renders of our DIY Laser Engraver project base frame project currently under development. We are utilizing extruded aluminum stock with a mixture of natural and anodized black for a particular aesthetic what we like. Large aircraft grade 8080 mm for the base legs and 8040 mm for the base frame construction. The laser base frame, laser inner chassis and laser outer shell all are made of T-Slot aluminum to allow for ease of construction. Also allows for the unit to be productized and sold as a kit if we choose to moving forward. T-slots and V-slots makes design changes or expansion in the machine fairly simple. The outer shell will be thin aluminum sheets with tinted polycarbonate panels. These renderings are pre-build, so some things will be changing along the way as certain physical realities present themself that were not so obvious in the modeling stage. Iteration is a normal prototyping condition.
