DIY CO2 laser project chassis frame will operate as a 3-Axis system of XYZ. A fourth axis rotary will be added once the system is up and running. System includes an electronically controlled Z-Bed height with auto focus in the Ruida DSP controller. Laser chassis frame is made of extruded aluminum V-slot from openbuilds. This is a lighter duty extrusion compared to the aircraft grade T-slot we used for the base cabinet. Though the V-slot offers the ability to bypass linear bearings the only pace we use that feature is for the Y-Axis. We mostly chose this here for affordability and heaver stock was not needed. Currently was have the frame together with the lead screw assemblies attached. The Z-Bed is together and in some of the images. It however would not fit back down inside the frame as the lead screw pillow blocks are in the way. I will need to remove two top blocks to install the bed. What will happen in a few days. The base cabinet is complete other than the front doors which will happen much later as they will just be in the way currently.
